RCM Mantis is a modular dual-use system designed to transport and operate with unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). It provides a foundation for complete robotic systems for military engineers, logistics units, explosive ordnance disposal teams, UGV units, the Territorial Defence Forces, rescue services and emergency management organisations.
The system can serve as a mobile supply point, an engineering equipment carrier, a UGV transport platform, a mobile rescue platform and a general-purpose means of transporting equipment and materials. One platform can perform multiple roles, reducing the number of vehicles required and improving operational readiness.
The system is based on either an RCM Raptor trailer or an RCM Tactical Body operating with a multi-role unmanned ground vehicle. Patented, automatically controlled ramp-and-tailgate assemblies allow the vehicle to leave the platform and begin operating without additional handling personnel.
After completing a task, the UGV can load excavated material, supplies or equipment onto the trailer. The trailer then transports the load and can operate as a tipper while the UGV continues with its next assignment.
Multi-role operational platform
Mantis combines the functions of a UGV carrier, tipper, logistics platform, mobile supply point, engineering equipment carrier and unmanned system. It can also serve as a rescue platform during search, evacuation and disaster-response operations.
Complete robotic systems
The system provides a complete solution for military engineers, logistics units, explosive ordnance disposal teams, UGV units, the Territorial Defence Forces, rescue services and emergency management organisations.
Each configuration may include:
Open development platform
RCM Mantis is an open system platform that can be expanded with additional trailers, semi-trailers, truck bodies, unmanned vehicles and specialist equipment.
This approach supports configurations tailored to the needs of the armed forces, rescue services and critical infrastructure operators.
Dual-use design
The same platform can be used for:
RCM Raptor and RCM Tactical Body were developed for intensive use in difficult terrain and demanding operational conditions. The system is intended for units that require reliable, straightforward equipment that can begin work immediately after reaching the operating area.
It reflects the RCM Defence philosophy:
maximum functionality, minimum logistics burden and rapid operational readiness.
